Hocks season 2, Red Devils

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

We started up season 2 recently we named the team Red Devils. I’m playing Ice Hockey 3-4 times a week now, still taking skill class which helps me get better on the ice. My coach Carl has setup a blog, here is a link to his blog. The team is going up to Nederland to play with the local team today, unfortunately I have already committed to a school gathering and will miss this game. The fun part about todays game is that it’s at a outdoor rink, I have not played outdoors yet. I will have my father take some pictures of me on the ice to post for you soon…

Snowboarding @ Copper

Monday, February 11th, 2008

Afi and Thoranna were in Breckenridge skiing last week, we met them at Copper mountain for a fun filled day of skiing and snowboarding. We had excellent conditions as it had been snowing for a few days and powder in the hills. It was the first day that the big half pipe was open. I did my first black diamond run. A nice day, although a bit cold at the end of the day.

School is fun

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

At school we are currently reading and writing a biography of some famous person. We have a open choice as long as it’s somebody important / famous / influential. I choose to write about Abraham Lincoln. The fun part is that now the reading and the writing skills are coming together in one fun project. I don’t use computers much, but in case you are interested you can see a wiki profile on Lincoln if you click here.

Santas and Snow

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

It’s that time of the year again, close to Christmas. Tonight the Icelandic Santas start coming to town, lucky me that they are able to stop by in the USA.  And it’s snowing, it’s looking to be a big sledding / snowboarding month for me and hopefully a white Christmas.
