I played again with Arvada this year as a first year Bantam B. The team jelled pretty well, we had some good games against the tough teams, but not so good against the teams we should have beaten. But we ended up in the playoffs none the less as the 8th seed. We got knocked out in the first round against Colorado Springs 0-3. They were good, the biggest difference was they passed really well and kept the puck going. They ended up winning the championship by beating both Boulder teams 3-1 and 3-2, so our effort didn’t seem to bad. The highlight of the season for us was 2nd place behind Boulder in the Arvada tournament, I had 10 points in 6 games. Looking forward I’m waiting for school to come to an end then to enjoy the summer. I will probably do a couple of Hockey camps in the summer and then tryout for the Boulder team as Arvada is a bit of a coummute.

Sunday, September 19th, 2010I haven’t reported lately as I have been really busy. I went to visit my grand parents in Washington DC for a couple of weeks this summer. Then over to Oregon for a 2 weeks. Where I met up with Cole and his family from Seattle. It was a blast as always.
Then we raced back home to open the school year at my new school Flagstaff. I decided that it was time to move from my old school which was really small into a bigger one with more of a academic and science focus. It was a bit of a shock but I think I’m getting the hang of it. Spanish is totally new for me but I like it. It is also good to have broader math and science projects. I like it but we have a lot more homework than I’m used to.
End of School and the School play ~ 2009
Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009School has ended, we did our yearly production School play on Saturday. I opened with “we will we will rock you” although the lyrics were modified for the play. We really worked hard on the play and finally we are done, it was a blast, see for yourself.
Vince visit, Feb 2009
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009Vince and his father Ralph came for a visit last weekend from Washington DC. It was great to see him, we hit the slopes and we snowboarded for the whole weekend. We were really lucky that the weather held up, sunny and no wind on Saturday. On Sunday we got a little bit of a fresh powder snow on top. Great weekend, then we drove them to the airport on Monday. Hopefully Vince and his father can stay longer next time, I’m looking forward to 2010 !
Start of school
Sunday, September 7th, 2008School has started again, it’s great to see the classroom friends again and to be back for another great winter. The theme this year is the human body, we will look at it from all angles. We will be doing more math this year, reading and writing. And we will be reading the Hobbit. I have already seen the movie, I’m excited !
