Snowboarding LoveLand Pass

May 15th, 2010

My father and I went Snowboarding couple of weeks ago to catch the last snow of the season.  It had been snowing it Loveland Pass and there we went.  Not much snow left but good enough to get a few runs in.  We had to hike for about 20-30 minutes from the road and then we could get a decent run, a good fun.

We are the Champions

March 14th, 2010

That’s right we won the DNHL 2009-2010 Champions title today!  We are the first team in the DNHL to have a perfect season 17-0 unlike last year when we lost the final match.  I’m off to celebrate yahooo….

Here is the full experience.

Snowboarding

February 15th, 2010

My father and I took a small vacation last week to Snowboard.  We stayed at ThorAnna’s winter share in Breckenridge.  It was great, we Snowboarded for a few days at Loveland and Copper mountain.   We found some powder snow at both places.  Simply put we had a blast !  I’m now Snowboarding in the woods ( double black diamonds ) without any problems and love the moguls.   The mountains have not had as much snow as last year, but we are hopeful that will get better as it gets further into the season.  Then more routes should open up.  I know my father is also looking to see when Loveland pass will be doable for us.

Hockey vs Bison B

January 23rd, 2010

Today we played practice game against the Boulder Bison B team.  Those guys are on the ice 4-5 times a week and that showed.  They are more prepared and have greater speed than we do.  The game started out tough, 1 period was 0-5 then 0-3 and 0-2.  Apparently we got better as the game went on and we got more used to the fast pace of the game.  We had only 1 or two solid chances and overall maybe 4 shots on goal.  It was a tough game and 0-9 loss a fact.  As our coach said after the game overall a good effort by us.  Everybody on our team skated hard and had fun.

Tomorrow we will be in FortCollins for a game with their 3rd team in the DNHL league.  I bet we will show up hungry.

Santas

December 11th, 2009

It’s that time of the year again, you might have read it a couple of times.  Once more I like to point out the fact that the Icelandic santas are coming to town, starting tomorrow morning.   One by one all the way until Christmas, I’m excited.

And we moved into our new house recently, here is a pic.
